BREAKING: Dongho Leaves U-Kiss, What Does This Mean for U-Kiss?

NH Media has announced that Dongho will be departing from the group”

“Dongho will be absent from team promotions starting with U-KISS’ new album which will be released this month, and he will be putting a hold on his activities as a celebrity…Starting from the beginning of this year, Dongho’s determination about being active as a celebrity weakened, and he has revealed that he doesn’t believe his health condition and stamina fit well with the life of a singer… After a long discussion with his parents, we have decided to accept their decision…Dongho expressed that he wanted to live a normal life rather than that of a celebrity…Although the decision of Dongho’s leave from the group is one that causes harm to the team’s activities, the members have all decided to accept this change as well… Although we feel burdened by the empty spot, the group will release a new album as scheduled as six members.”

Obviously U-Kiss fans everywhere are devastated, but could this be a sign of sadder times to come for U-Kiss? NH Media sites Dongho’s sudden (at least for fans) decision to leave the group as his ‘determination about being active as a celebrity [being] weakened.’ Its safe to say that its the general consensus that U-Kiss is a massively under appreciated group in Kpop, winning very few music awards in their 5 year career. Maybe that lack of appreciation, and having nothing to show for his hard work has taken a toll on him.

Dongho’s departure marks the loss of U-Kiss’ 3rd member, plus member AJ is floating in and out of the group to pursue bigger and better things at Columbia University here in NYC. If U-Kiss continues to have less than stellar results from their promotions this could mark the beginning of the end for U-Kiss?
